How to Program a Chamberlain or LiftMaster Wireless Keypad

Programming a Chamberlain or LiftMaster wireless keypad takes only a few minutes. All you need is a ladder to reach the opener motor and access the **Learn** button.

Programming Instructions

Follow these steps:

1. Locate the Learn button on your garage door opener motor (usually behind the light lens cover). Note its color (yellow, purple, red, or orange).
2. On the keypad, enter a new 4-digit PIN code.
3. Press and hold the **Enter** button on the keypad.
4. While holding the button, press the Learn button on the motor unit. The opener lights will flash once, confirming the code is saved.
